The Mental Health Crisis

The U.S. is experiencing a mental health epidemic & the crisis is getting worse. Both urban and rural communities across the country are suffering from a lack of access to the mental health care they need.

One in 5 Americans will experience a mental illness in the next year, 1 in 5 children have had a seriously debilitating mental illness during their life, and 1 in 25 adults are living with a serious mental illness.

California’s Opioid Crisis

The growing crisis in both homelessness and drug addiction has spiraled out of control in California and across the US. Our inner cities and communities are being devastated by the opioid and drug epidemic, with its direct correlation to a rise in crime & violence.

There is a true void in the area and standard of care for drug addiction amongst the underserved populations in urban and high-risk areas. This has become a public health crisis and now is the time to act.

The Opioid Crisis

The opioid epidemic continues to grow across the USA and imposes a serious threat to the health of a variety of age ranges, with opioid overdose being the leading cause of death in adults under 50 years old. New, even more disturbing trends show that children under age 14 are dying of fentanyl poisoning at a faster rate than adult age groups, due to accidental ingestion or exposure.

Both urban and rural communities across the country are being devastated by the opioid and drug epidemic.
